The City of Montpelier sends out water and sewer bills quarterly to its customers. Bills are based on usage determined by the reading of water meters and are due on March 15th, June 15th, September 15th, and December 15th. If the payment date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, the payment is due the first business day after the weekend or holiday.
Utility bill payments must be received in the City Clerk-Treasurer’s office or in the drop box at City Hall prior to midnight on the due date.

The City accepts online tax payments on our City’s web site. Click on “Pay Property Tax, Water/Sewer Bills & Parking Tickets Here”. This will provide a link to the Official Payments web site. A convenience fee will be charged by Official Payments for this service. Please note that this credit card option applies to off-site payments only. Credit card payments cannot be processed at the clerk-treasurer’s office in City Hall.
