Montpelier Flag Redesign Committee
As shown in this TED talk (https://www.ted.com/talks/roman_mars_why_city_flags_may_be_the_worst_designed_thing_you_ve_never_noticed?language=en) on good flag design, Montpelier's current flag could use an overhaul. As a result, the Montpelier City Council is interested in convening a Flag Redesign Working Group. This group will call for flag redesign submissions, decide on a voting process, and then submit a recommendation to the City Council. Viewing the flag-design TED talk is a prerequisite for participation in the group. Please submit a brief letter of interest by noon on Wednesday, October 5th, to the City Manager’s Office, City Hall - 39 Main Street, Montpelier, Vermont 05602, or via e-mail to spitonyak@montpelier-vt.org. Applicants will be notified in the middle of October of the date of the first meeting.
