Quarterly tax payments are due Tuesday, November 15th.
City of Montpelier property tax bills are sent out in mid-July each year. This is the only tax bill that property owners will receive. If property is sold, the tax bill should be given or forwarded to the new owner at the time of the closing.
Tax payments must be received in the City Clerk-Treasurer’s office or in the drop box at City Hall prior to midnight on Tuesday.

• The City accepts online tax payments on our City’s web site (http://www.montpelier-vt.org). Click on “Pay Property Tax, Water/Sewer Bills & Parking Tickets Here”. This will provide a link to the Official Payments web site. A convenience fee will be charged by Official Payments for this service. Please note that this credit card option applies to off-site payments. Credit card payments cannot be processed at the clerk-treasurer’s office in City Hall.
