Unlawful Mischief Arrest
The Montpelier Police Department has received several reported vandalism complaints over the last several days. Many downtown buildings and two public school buildings were vandalized with writing on the side of the buildings. The writing included obscene, racist and derogatory words and was written in chalk.
After a short investigation, it was determined that Roy S. Emrick (65) of Montpelier, VT was responsible for the vandalism. Emrick was cited to appear in Washington County Superior Court-Criminal Division on December 8, 2016 at 8:30AM.
