Fatal Shooting in Montpelier
At approximately Sunday January 22, 2017 at approximately 4:34 AM, the Montpelier Police Department responded to a reported shooting on Barre Street in Montpelier. One adult male was found deceased at the scene. The MPD has requested the assistance of the Vermont State Police's Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
This is an active investigation and no other information will be released at this time. There will be a media update later today.
