[ARCHIVED] Terrace Street Traffic Detour

Notice of Terrace Street Traffic Detour beginning Monday November 2nd

The Montpelier Public Works Department will begin reconstruction of the Terrace Street sidewalk on Monday November 2nd. The limits of the reconstruction project begin at the Bailey Avenue intersection and will proceed northerly toward Redstone Avenue. The reconstruction length will be that which can be completed in five working days as limited by the looming end of the 2015 construction season. To facilitate equipment and truck construction access to the work zone and to enable development of a temporary pedestrian detour route, the north bound lane of Terrace Street will be closed. Northbound vehicular traffic will be diverted to the detour route consisting of Bailey Avenue, Clarendon Avenue & Jordan Street. Southbound (inbound) traffic will not be detoured and traffic control personnel will be utilized to assist. Local traffic access will be maintained to the homes located within the construction zone. The detour will be in place during normal work hours only and reopened each evening. The project is expected to be completed by Friday, November 9th
