Taylor St. will be closed to through traffic Wed., 5/30/18 and Thursday, 5/31/18.
Due to a failure at the asphalt plant, paving at the crossing could not be completed during the scheduled closure period. The City of Montpelier has given the contractor permission to close Taylor St. at the location of the crossing. Taylor Street will reopen later this evening and be closed again on Thursday beginning at 8:00 AM. The road will reopen Thursday evening.
On Wednesday and Thursday (5/30, 5/31) the parking lots on Taylor St. located on the north side of the crossing will only be accessible from State St. during construction hours. Similarly, during construction, the large parking lot between the crossing and the river can be accessed via Route 2 only.
