[ARCHIVED] WATER SHUT OFF: MAIN ST. BTW JAY & LINCOLN

Dear Property Owners, Residents and Businesses in the Main Street Neighborhood between Jay St and Lincoln Ave:

Please be advised that on Friday 7/27/2018, the contractor for the Main Street Waterline Replacement Project, J.A. McDonald, will be connecting the new water main to the existing line. Once they are ready to make the connection the water main will be turned off on Main Street between Jay St and Lincoln Ave. We are anticipating the water will be turned off around 10:00 AM; however the exact time is unknown. Water service will be restored to normal pressures by the end of the day.

This notice also applies to residents who have been connected to the temporary water main.

Once the water has been restored there is a possibility that you may experience air or dirty water. If this happens, please run cold water until it clears up. It may take up to 15 minutes. Thank you for your patience while we complete this work.

Sincerely,

City of Montpelier Department of Public Works

J.A. McDonald
