City Council is seeking individuals interested in filling a vacancy on the Tree Board. The purpose of the Tree Board is to protect the public health and welfare by improving and preserving the beauty of the city as it relates to street trees and park trees. The Board administers and updates a plan for the care, preservation, pruning, planting, removal, or disposition of trees and shrubs in parks, along streets, and in other public areas. The board meets on the first Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m. If you are interested in a seat on the Tree Board, please click the link below to complete and submit the online application by January 16, 2019. To request a hard copy of the application, contact the City Manager’s Office at 223-9502. The City Council will make this appointment at their Thursday, January 24th City Council Meeting; applicants are encouraged to attend. All municipal meetings are accessible to people with disabilities and are held in accordance with the public meeting and public records laws.
