The Conservation Commission is seeking two members of the Montpelier community to serve on the Montpelier Conservation Fund Advisory Board. This Board, which is composed of 3 members of the Conservation Commission and 2 from the community at large, reviews applications for and oversees the awarding of moneys from the Montpelier Conservation Fund, a dedicated reserve fund established for the purpose of conserving lands and waters within the City for agricultural, forest, wildlife, recreational or natural area use, under the control and direction of the City Council. Applicants should expect to meet once or twice when the Board positions are filled, to review existing documents, application forms and criteria. Thereafter meetinge may occur a few times a year as necessary, or when applications for use of the funds are submitted.
