[ARCHIVED] Newly Formed Public Restroom Committee Looking for Members

The Montpelier City Council is looking to appoint members to the newly formed Public Restroom Committee.   The Committee has been tasked to look holistically at the overall availability of restrooms in the Montpelier community, and to present City Council options for long-term solutions that increases restroom availability.

The Public Restroom Committee will assist the Council by creating and presenting options for new, City-owned facilities that can serve as day-time and night-time restroom options for residents and visitors to the City of Montpelier. This committee is also tasked in developing options for restroom locations, full project costs, and establishing partnership with other local agencies to provide for the needs of the community.

This Committee will comprise of Council members, members of other related City Committees, Montpelier Alive (or a representative of the Downtown businesses), and is asking for members of the public to apply. The Council is trying to prioritize appointing local residents who are architects or are folks familiar with the process of creating new facilities and buildings.
