ZONING REVIEW SCHEDULE

The Montpelier City Council is currently reviewing of the revised Zoning Ordinance as recommended by the Planning Commission. The following is the schedule for the Council’s review. All start at 6:30 (unless otherwise noted) and include public comment so that the Council may consider resident input while becoming acquainted with the regulations.
June 8 (tomorrow) will be focused only on the Design Review District. This is a joint meeting with the Planning Commission and will begin at 5:30 PM
June 15 – Finish Section 2. This includes zoning maps, zoning districts, density and allowed uses.
July 13 - Begin Section 3. This includes general requirements and standards.
August 10 – Complete Section 3.
September 14 – Sections 4 and 5 which are process and definitions.
September 28 – wrap up discussion, review anything missed. Make final adjustments.
October 12 and 16 – formal public hearings for adoption.
